Gore-tex®:
- The GORE-TEX membrane is part of Gore, a family of consumer products designed to provide superior performance in a wide range of applications.. GORE-TEX products use three-component weather protection to provide extreme climate comfort: waterproof, windproof and breathable.
- The GORE-TEX membrane is an extremely thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which has over 1.4 billion pores per square centimeter attached to the outer textile and, in many cases, the lining. It is waterproof and windproof, but still breathable.. This means that water from the outside does not penetrate, cold wind does not pass through, but sweat can escape.
- As a GORE-TEX partner, we use this membrane primarily in the production of our footwear, gloves and clothing.. in some of our clothing, including jackets and trousers.
